Since opening the first City Feed on Boylston Street in 2000, City Feed has made it a point to support many of the local organizations and businesses that make our neighborhood a better place. Here are a few of City Feed's favorites--check them out!
Video Underground
www.thevideounderground.com
Location: Jamaica Plain, MA! Less than 1 mile away!
What They Do: Video rentals, sales, Film screenings & MORE!
About the Company:
Opened in 2002 by long-time JP resident Evonne Wetzner, Video
Underground was created to provide the Boston area with the best
selection of independent film not seen since, never. Beyond stocking
all the biggest blockbusters, Video Underground makes a real effort to
include titles not found in mainstream video stores and aims to reflect
the diverse tastes of the community in its inventory. The VU staff
loves to discuss, research films and take customer requests regularly
to improve its selection; the importance of this social interaction is
at the root of what sets the VU apart from the others. They also
host outdoor films in their backyard during the summer and work hard to
support local film culture. Five-time winner of "Best of JP" by JP Gazette readers and featured on the cover of the Boston Globe Magazine, Video Underground is proud to be part of the locally-owned businesses that make up our neighborhood!
So forgo Netflix and take a walk down the street to support this
innovative video store, share & be a part of the great film scene
in J.P. and beyond...
